Data Steward (Master Data)

Are you ready to make a significant impact in the world of data analytics and data management? We are seeking a talented  Data Steward to become a vital part of our dynamic Data Assets, Analytics, and AI Platform at Bayer Consumer Health. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in building and maintaining our core data assets across various domains, ensuring their completeness, semantics and quality. You will work closely with Data Analysts other Data Stewards and cross- functional teams to enable our data analytics solutions, enhance the strategic value of our data assets and enable cutting-edge AI solutions and support data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

•                     Lead by Example: Champion best practices for data stewardship and mapping strategies, guiding team members through your expertise

•                     Hands-On Mapping: Perform advanced data mapping and validation for complex datasets, leveraging pharmaceutical (IQVIA) and FMCG data knowledge.

•                     Data Governance & Quality: Collaborate with stakeholders to establish and enforce data quality standards, ensuring compliance with organizational and industry requirements.

•                     Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to refine data stewardship processes, recommending new tools and methodologies where appropriate.

•                     Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with IT, Analytics, and Business Units to align data efforts with broader organizational objectives.

•                     Documentation & Reporting: Maintain thorough documentation of data lineage and mapping guidelines; create data quality reports to track improvements and highlight issues.

•                     Mentorship & Guidance: Provide coaching to mid-level stewards or other data team members, offering best practice advice and troubleshooting support as needed.

Qualifications & Skills:

•                     Experience: 2-3+ years of experience in data stewardship, data governance, or data quality management, preferably within the pharmaceutical or FMCG sector.

•                     Advanced-level Excel capabilities (advanced formulas, pivot tables).

•                     Experience with data management or data mapping tools

•                     SQL or other database query language skills a plus.

•                     Industry Knowledge: Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical data sources (e.g., IQVIA) and/or FMCG data.

•                     Communication & Collaboration: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proven ability to work across multidisciplinary teams.

•                     Analytical & Problem-Solving: Demonstrated success in diagnosing data issues and implementing innovative solutions.

•                     Organization & Time Management: Able to juggle multiple priorities, ensuring timely and accurate completion of data stewardship tasks.
