Azure Cloud Platform Engineer

Your Responsibilities 

As an Azure Cloud Platform Engineer in Baloise Solution Hub, you are working as part of the Baloise Cloud Platform team that is driving a multinational insurance company in a move to Microsoft Azure. You will be responsible for setting up and managing the core cloud infrastructure to be used by our business units, but also assisting and advising our internal customers while building up new solutions or during migrations of their applications from on premise or hybrid environments.  

Your ideal background and skillset  

• Experience in Azure Cloud in a regulated enterprise environment 
• Experience in one or more Infrastructure as Code tools (Bicep, Terraform, Pulumi) 
• Proficiency in Azure governance and configuration, identity and access management, visibility, networking, including setting up solutions for log monitoring. 
• Ability to provide self-service solutions to development teams, enhancing DevOps usability by preparing pre-configured setups and templates for teams to utilize. 
• Expertise in FinOps practices, including establishing financial and optimizing costs in public cloud environments. 
• Designing and implementing Disaster Recovery and Backup solutions 
• Building Web Application Firewalls on the Azure Cloud. 
• Experience with container platforms on Azure, particularly AKS or OpenShift. 
• Implementing Microsoft Cloud Security Benchmark 
• Hands-on experience implementing requirements from security frameworks like SCF and NIST into Azure solutions.
