About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Mainframe Analyst with strong technical expertise and a proactive approach to problem-solving. In this role, you will collaborate closely with development, application maintenance, testing, and release teams to support the delivery and upkeep of business-critical systems. Your responsibilities will include requirements analysis, impact assessment, change validation, and production incident support within a complex enterprise environment.

Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements

• Perform impact analysis for system changes and enhancements

• Validate developer implementations and test results

• Prepare and maintain application documentation

• Document test outcomes and support quality assurance activities

• Support Application Maintenance teams in production incident analysis and resolution

• Collaborate with Release Managers during deployment and release activities

• Work closely with development, testing, and business teams to ensure successful delivery

• Continuously improve knowledge of tools, technologies, and business processes

Requirements (Must-Have)

• Proven experience as a Mainframe Analyst or similar role

• Deep understanding of mainframe technologies, including:

  • COBOL

  • JCL

  • DB2

  • VSAM

  • CICS

  • IMS

• Experience in requirements gathering and impact analysis

• Strong skills in application documentation and maintenance

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Experience validating system changes and test results

• Background in supporting production incidents and Application Maintenance teams

• Experience collaborating with Release Management processes

• Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills

• Ability to work independently and proactively

Nice to Have

• Experience in banking or financial services

• Experience working in large-scale enterprise environments

• Knowledge of regulatory or compliance-driven projects

• Experience with modernization initiatives involving mainframe systems
