About the Role:

We’re looking for a Senior Manual QA Engineer (Web) to lead quality efforts on complex web applications. You’ll design and execute manual test cases, ensure cross-browser and functional reliability, and work closely with developers and product managers to resolve issues. This role also includes mentoring QA team members and contributing to process improvements and release planning.

Day to Day:

  • Take ownership of quality assurance for specific features or modules of complex web applications, ensuring high standards.

  • Design, develop, and execute comprehensive manual test cases and test strategies based on product requirements and technical specifications.

  • Perform thorough functional, regression, integration, usability, cross-browser, and accessibility testing across various devices and platforms.

  • Proactively identify, document, and meticulously track defects with clear, concise, and reproducible steps using bug tracking systems.

  • Collaborate closely with developers and product managers to clarify requirements, troubleshoot issues, and ensure timely resolution of defects.

  • Actively participate in requirements analysis and design reviews, providing early feedback and identifying potential risks.

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes, methodologies, and best practices within the team.

  • Mentor junior and middle-level QA engineers, sharing knowledge, best practices, and helping to grow their testing skills.

  • Assist the QA Lead in defining test scope, planning testing efforts, and preparing for releases.

What you bring to the table:

  • Minimum 5+ years of commercial experience as a Manual QA Engineer, with significant experience in web application testing.

  • Proven expertise in designing, writing, and executing detailed, well-structured test plans and test cases.

  • Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, cycles, and defect management processes.

  • Hands-on experience with various types of manual testing, including functional, regression, cross-browser, accessibility, and usability testing.

  • Proficient in using bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira) and test management tools (e.g., TestRail).

  • Solid understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, TypeScript) and client-server architecture.

  • Ability to effectively analyze complex technical requirements and translate them into robust test scenarios.

  • Experience working effectively in an Agile/Scrum development environment.

  • Upper-intermediate level of spoken and written English.

It would be great if you also had:

  • Basic knowledge of SQL queries for database validation.

  • Familiarity with API testing concepts (e.g., using Postman for manual API checks).

  • Basic understanding of automation testing principles or familiarity with common frameworks (like Playwright concepts).

  • Knowledge of web performance or security testing concepts.
