Microsoft Database Administrator

Location: 100% remote or Warsaw or Tricity

Key responsibilities

·       Execute VMware → Google Cloud (GCE / VM‑based) migrations for SQL Server databases

·       Support migration planning, execution, validation, and post‑migration stabilization

·       Operate SQL Server databases in hybrid (on‑prem + cloud) environments

·       Perform performance tuning, capacity planning, and troubleshooting

·       Support database changes, releases, and incidents in line with ITSM processes

·       Collaborate with Cloud Engineering, Security, and Application teams

·       Ensure documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures are updated

Requirements:

·       Strong hands‑on experience as a SQL Server DBA / Database Engineer

·       Solid experience with SQL Server on Windows in enterprise environments

·       Experience with cloud‑based SQL Server deployments, preferably on Google Cloud (GCE)

·       Experience with database migrations from on‑prem to cloud

·       Knowledge of High Availability / Disaster Recovery (e.g. Always On, clustering)

·       Experience working in regulated environments (banking, finance, or similar)

·       SQL Server performance tuning and troubleshooting expertise

Nice-to-have:

·       Experience with hybrid cloud setups

·       Familiarity with infrastructure as code and automation concepts

·       Exposure to audit, risk, or compliance requirements
