Role Overview
We are looking for a Manual QA Tester to join a long-term development team working on mobile banking applications and online banking services.In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring high quality, usability, and functional correctness of customer-facing digital banking solutions.
You will work as part of a Scrum-based development team (approx. 10 people), closely collaborating with developers, product specialists, and automation testers. The environment is dynamic, agile, and strongly focused on delivering reliable and secure banking solutions for end users.
Project Context
The project is delivered in a large-scale banking environment, focused on mobile and web solutions addressed to commercial customers.Development is carried out using Agile methodologies, with 2-week sprints and close cooperation between business, development, and QA teams.
The role involves long-term collaboration within one development team, with additional interaction with a centralized test automation team and direct reporting to the Test Section Manager for Online Banking.
Key Responsibilities
Manual Testing & Quality Assurance
Manual testing of mobile banking applications and online banking platforms
Execution of functional, regression, and UI/layout tests for web and mobile solutions
Testing business applications on desktop and mobile devices
Verification of requirements and business logic related to banking products and services
Test Design & Documentation
Creating and maintaining test scenarios, test cases, and test documentation
Reporting defects, tracking issues, and documenting test results using JIRA and Confluence
Ensuring test coverage and quality standards across delivered functionalities
Collaboration & Agile Delivery
Close daily cooperation within a Scrum development team
Active participation in sprint ceremonies (planning, reviews, retrospectives)
Ongoing collaboration with automation testers to ensure consistency of test coverage
Clear communication with stakeholders and team members
Required Knowledge & Experience
Domain Knowledge – Key Focus Areas
The role requires solid understanding of the banking and investment domain, in particular:
Knowledge of banking products and services related to investments and savings
Understanding of capital and debt financial instruments and how they operate
Knowledge of the concept of Personal Investment Accounts (OKI)
Professional Experience
Minimum 2 years of experience in manual testing, including:
Functional testing
Regression testing
UI / visual layer testing
Experience in testing business web and mobile applications for commercial clients
Experience in banking or banking-related projects (e.g. banking systems, payments, e-commerce, VAS)
General knowledge of the banking domain
Tools & Skills
Very good knowledge of JIRA and Confluence
Ability to create test scenarios, maintain documentation, and report defects
High communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team
Accuracy, attention to detail, and strong sense of responsibility
Good organization of individual and team work
Openness to change and continuous improvement
Nice to Have
Experience in projects related to online and mobile banking
Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments
Experience in digital accessibility testing, including:
WCAG guidelines
NVDA screen reader
WAVE extension
Knowledge of VoiceOver (iOS) and TalkBack (Android)
Ability to use browser developer tools
Experience with Adobe tools and Figma
Interest in modern technologies and market trends in digital banking
