SAP Security Mitigation Lead

How you will make an impact:

We are seeking a proactive SAP Security Mitigation Lead to drive our ongoing security initiatives across the SAP landscape. Using SecurityBridge, you will coordinate mitigation activities, track progress, and ensure continuous improvement across all areas of SAP security. You will not perform technical changes yourself; instead, you will lead and orchestrate the work of technical specialists and stakeholders. Think of this role as a “mini project manager” for a continuous, never-ending program of SAP security enhancement.

Area of responsibility 

• Own and drive the SAP security mitigation roadmap using SecurityBridge insights and alerts.

• Coordinate cross-functional mitigation efforts (SAP Basis, Application, Security, Infrastructure teams).

• Prioritize findings, define action plans, and ensure timely execution and closure.

• Monitor KPIs, status, and risk posture; provide clear reporting to stakeholders.

• Facilitate regular stand-ups, reviews, and steering updates; remove blockers and ensure momentum.

• Maintain and refine processes for vulnerability management, configuration hardening, and compliance in SAP.

• Liaise with vendors and internal teams to optimize SecurityBridge usage and ensure best practices.

• Document decisions, timelines, and outcomes to build repeatable, scalable processes.

Competencies

• Solid understanding of SAP concepts (e.g., Basis, roles/authorizations, transports, interface/security fundamentals).

• Familiarity with SAP Security tools; experience with SecurityBridge is a plus.

• Experience coordinating technical initiatives or projects (PMO, project coordinator, coordinating major incidents or scrum master experience helpful).

• Strong stakeholder management, prioritization, and communication skills.

• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret dashboards, incidents, and risk assessments.

• Curiosity and willingness to learn more about SAP and security practices.

• Ability to work in a dynamic environment and drive continuous improvement.

Nice to Have

• Experience with vulnerability management or security operations.

• Knowledge of audit/compliance frameworks relevant to SAP (e.g., SoD, GDPR, ISO 27001).

• Exposure to change management and ITIL processes.

• SecurityBridge findings triaged and actioned with clear ownership and timelines.

• Mitigation activities coordinated efficiently with measurable improvements in security posture.

• Transparent reporting and communication to stakeholders.

• Established, repeatable processes for ongoing SAP security enhancements.

Please note that this role requires you to be in the office 50% of the time + one additional day (monthly).
