Solution Architect SAP QM

Within its internal structure, the company operates a shared services center that provides essential IT, financial, and HR solutions, supporting all business units across the group.

Responsibilities:

 •   Ensures the SAPEX solution for his/her stream is designed and built according to approved requirements utilizing the latest technology and Hydro’s best practises;  

•   Ensures the Global template integrity is maintained i.e. that the Global Template is not compromised as a result of the introduction of new configuration and/or developments;  

•   Collects, analyses, and documents business requirements and translates them into technical solutions;  

•   Analyses business requirements and validates technical solutions proposed by the regional solution team;  

•   Monitors the template change requests and prepares or validates the preparation for the Change Control Board meetings to facilite the approval process with solution proposals; 

•   Reviews and approves Functional Design Documents and oversees the template development process;  

•   Provides template process playback to business users; 

•   During implementation projects ensures the solution is designed and built according to approved scope;  

•   Mentors and functionally leads the team of Functional Consultants, making sure they understand the design decisions so that they can autonomously take care of their implementation, testing, training and go-live support;  

•   Works closely and aligns with the global Business Process Owners and Template (E2E) Solution Architects in EU and US.

Requirements:

 •   Five years plus working with SAP or variant in a hands-on project environment; 

•   Experience in enterprise-level SAP projects using waterfall methodology throughout the whole life cycle with repeated and demonstrable success; 

•   Expert level understanding of the SAP product suite; 

•   Extensive experience with SAP configuration, including workflows, validation rules, and security controls; 

•   Experience defining business requirements, writing functional design documentation; 

•   Expert level experience of SAP modules and underlying architecture, design; 

•   Experience in designing SAP software components;  

•   Experience integrating SAP with different business systems, as well as working with integration tools; 

•   Expert level understanding of environment management, release management, code versioning best practices, and deployment methodologies; 

•   Experience in greenfield, brownfield, and rollout projects, project phases, SAP Activate and Agile project methodologies; 

•   Experience in manufacturing industries, preferably metal and/or automotive; 

•   Experience in people management; 

•   College or University (IT /Business Degree or Equivalent) 

•   Strong spoken and written English; 

•   Customizing knowledge; 

•   ABAP Debug experience; 

•   Integration understanding (iDocs, EDI messages) 

•   Skilled Office 365 user; 

•   Strong oral and written communication skills  

•   Team player; 

•   Able to travel up to 30%; 

•   Driving license.
