Location: Kraków (hybrid model – 2 days per week in the office)Industry: Finance / Investment Banking

About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced Software Engineering Lead to take a key role in developing a modern technology platform supporting Treasury systems for a global financial organization.

This is a unique opportunity to build a new engineering team in Poland from the ground up, working on solutions based on microservices, cloud architecture (GCP), and modern engineering practices.

As a technical leader, you’ll collaborate with teams across Europe and Asia, delivering scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions that support financial management, risk, and liquidity operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and develop an engineering team in Poland (approx. 15–20 people)

• Implement engineering best practices and modern delivery processes

• Mentor, guide, and manage team members (backend, cloud, DevOps)

• Define architectural standards and support technology decisions

• Collaborate with global project and architecture teams

• Contribute to the growth of the local technology excellence center

Requirements

• Minimum 12 years of experience in software engineering with a strong focus on cloud-native solutions

• Proven track record of building and scaling high-performing technical teams

• Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, microservices, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

• Experience working in international, cross-functional environments

• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills

• Background in financial services, treasury, or investment banking will be a strong asset
