Diagnostic Data Engineer

About the project
We are seeking a hands-on Diagnostic Data Engineer to manage ODX-related data updates across their full lifecycle – from understanding requirements to ensuring final quality. In this position, you will collaborate closely with multiple teams, applying your knowledge of UDS protocols, automotive diagnostic standards, and automation to help keep processes efficient and well-coordinated.

🔧 Responsibilities

• ODX Data Management
  Create, update, and maintain diagnostic data in ODX formats (PDX / ODX-D / ODX-C) for various ECUs.
• Process Automation
  Develop and use scripts (Python, C#, or Java) to support and simplify the creation, conversion, and validation of diagnostic data.
• Requirements Handling
  Work with different teams and feature owners to gather diagnostic requirements and translate them into clear technical specifications.
• Validation & Testing
  Prepare and run automated checks to ensure data meets OEM standards and functional expectations.
• Technical Reviews
  Take part in and support technical review meetings to maintain consistent and high-quality data across vehicle platforms.

✅ Requirements

• Diagnostic Standards
  Strong understanding of ISO 22901 (ODX) and ISO 14229 (UDS).
• Programming Skills
  Ability to use scripting languages (e.g., Python, Perl, or similar) and work with XML-based data structures.
• Automotive Tools
  Experience with tools such as CANdelaStudio, ODX-Studio, or DTS Monaco.
• Communication
  Very good English skills (spoken and written). German is an advantage.
• Systems Thinking
  Ability to understand complex electronic systems and how diagnostic data impacts the vehicle lifecycle.
