Automation Development Engineer – Telecommunications

Position Overview:We are looking for an Automation Development Engineer to join our Professional Services team. The person in this role will be responsible for creating and implementing solutions that automate key processes within telecommunications systems (OSS/BSS, operator networks, provisioning). We're looking for a technically skilled, communicative individual with a strong focus on quality and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

• Designing and developing tools and scripts to automate processes in network environments

• Maintaining and improving automation frameworks

• Integrating OSS/BSS platforms with network components

• Collaborating with R&D, QA, and deployment teams

• Participating in testing and supporting deployments remotely or at customer locations

• Monitoring and analyzing the performance of automated systems

Requirements:

• Solid understanding of networking (TCP/IP, routing, switching)

• Experience as an Automation Engineer or in a similar technical role within the telecommunications or IT sectors

• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Perl, TCL, Bash, or Python

• Familiarity with OSS/BSS systems is a significant advantage

• Good command of English (minimum B2 level)

Nice to Have:

• Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI)

• Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git)

• Familiarity with protocols and technologies such as SNMP, NETCONF, REST APIs, TR-069/TR-369

• Understanding of operator network architectures (e.g., MPLS, xDSL, GPON)
