System Analyst
Andersen is seeking a System Analyst for a project enhancing card payment capabilities, including POS integrations and backend services to ensure secure and reliable transactions.
The customer is a global organization operating in the services sector, offering a range of solutions that support operational and logistical needs of end users. The company focuses on providing flexible, scalable, and accessible services through a distributed model, enabling efficient coordination of processes across different touchpoints. The project is focused on implementing and enhancing card payment capabilities within a retail environment. It includes developing POS integrations, backend payment services, and external processor connectivity to support secure, reliable in-person transactions.
Responsibilities:
Supporting the design of ISO 8583 message structures for different transaction types, including authorization, completion, reversal, refund, and increment flows.
Defining ISO behavior for specific business and industry scenarios such as rental, storage, and other specialized payment use cases.
Clarifying required vs optional fields, field and subfield mappings, and expected handling of edge cases.
Translating standard ISO 8583 logic into Worldpay-specific implementation requirements.
Identify processor-specific deviations from the ISO standard and recommend the correct implementation approach upfront.
Working proactively ahead of the development team to support user story preparation.
Removing ambiguity before development starts and ensure engineering teams have clear functional guidance.
Supporting the team in preparing for EMV contactless certification, including certification requirements, test case expectations, and common failure points.
Acting as a subject matter expert for payment-related questions and edge cases, reducing reliance on Worldpay support and speeding up decision-making.
Must-haves:
Experience in System Analysis for 4+ years.
Strong hands-on experience with ISO 8583 in real implementation scenarios.
Deep understanding of EMV, including both contact and contactless flows.
Practical experience with authorization and clearing/settlement flows.
Experience working with Worldpay or similar payment processors such as FIS, Fiserv, or comparable providers.
Good understanding of POS and terminal ecosystems.
Strong knowledge of the payment lifecycle, from authorization through settlement.
Level of English: from Upper-Intermediate and above.
Nice to haves:
Experience with Ingenico terminals.
Previous involvement in EMV certification activities.
Domain experience in rental, hospitality, or mobility payments.
