Solutions Architect
Andersen is hiring a Solutions Architect to lead enterprise transformation, optimizing systems and guiding ERP migration to Microsoft Business Central for a high-load e-commerce platform.
The customer is a fast-growing e-commerce company in the Home & Living domain operating a high-load online platform with a hybrid sales model that combines direct and third-party sales. The business relies on digitalized logistics, complex product and order management, and data-driven decision-making, with a strong focus on customer experience and continuous modernization of its IT landscape to support scalability and integrations.
The project is a company-wide transformation focused on optimizing the existing system landscape and migrating from a legacy ERP to Microsoft Business Central. It covers end-to-end business processes across all departments and involves designing the future-state architecture, documenting solution decisions, and guiding teams to ensure a scalable and sustainable transition to modern platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Designing and continuously evolving the target architecture for our e-commerce and integration landscape, currently PHP-based and transitioning towards event-driven architecture.
- Leading the migration from legacy integrations to cloud-native, API-first, event-driven architectures.
- Defining system boundaries, ownership, and responsibilities, avoiding overlapping between platforms and services.
- Designing and implementing integration patterns, routing rules, and orchestration logic for reliable end-to-end flows.
- Identifying architectural gaps and deciding when to introduce new SaaS solutions vs. custom-built services.
- Ensuring consistency and alignment across domains such as Shop & Digital Experience, Commerce, Data, and Operations.
- Defining and enforcing architecture standards, principles, and guardrails within development teams.
- Working hands-on with Business Stakeholders, Tech Leads and Senior Developers as a technical sparring partner.
Must-haves:
- Experience as a Solutions Architect for 4+ years with a strong technical background and proven experience leading technology and landscape transformations.
- Strong understanding of SaaS-based ecosystems.
- Strong experience designing end-to-end data setups, including operational data models (SQL and NoSQL), data ownership and contracts, and the reliable sharing of data with BI and data lake platforms.
- Solid cloud-native experience, ideally within GCP with services such as Compute Engine, Cloud Functions, GKE, and Pub/Sub, and understanding what it takes to design systems that are secure, scalable, and production-ready.
- Strong API design skills and practical experience applying Domain-Driven Design (DDD) to define clear service boundaries.
- Familiarity with IaC and CI/CD practices and consider monitoring, logging, alerting, and operational readiness as first-class architectural concerns rather than afterthoughts.
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with pragmatic execution.
- Comfortable communicating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Thrives in dynamic environments where not everything is fully defined.
- Level of English – from Advanced and above.
Nice-to-haves:
- Hands-on experience with platforms such as Shopify, Algolia, Zendesk, Omnia, Business Central, Akeneo, Mirakl, FlxPoint or similar systems.
- Hands-on coding experience with modern frameworks such as Symfony or Laravel.
