The IT company Andersen invites a Solution Architect to help implement a modern engagement banking platform, modernize customer journeys, improve omni-channel experiences, and integrate flexible digital modules for financial institutions.

The project is focused on implementing a modern engagement banking platform that helps financial institutions move away from legacy architectures. It enables the gradual modernization of customer journeys, seamless omni-channel experiences, and the integration of flexible, out-of-the-box modules into existing systems to accelerate digital transformation.
Responsibilities:
- Providing technical leadership and acting as the primary technical liaison between multiple development teams working on a joint use case or product.
- Establishing technical direction for product initiatives, defining component architectures, technology choices, and integration patterns.
- Anticipating technical challenges and designing scalability into solutions from inception to support long-term product growth.
- Creating comprehensive solution design documents that outline technical approaches, design rationale, and implementation pathways.
- Reviewing and refining solution designs in collaboration with development teams to ensure feasibility and optimal outcomes.
- Leading proof-of-concept initiatives to validate architectural approaches and mitigate technical risks prior to full implementation.
- Providing technical guidance and mentoring to development teams throughout implementation to ensure alignment with architectural designs.
- Championing architectural improvements and technical debt reduction initiatives to enhance product stability and development velocity.
- Supporting deployment strategies, operational excellence practices, and reliability engineering across product systems.
Must-have:
- Extensive experience in backend development with a proven track record of architecting backend strategies and defining best practices for 5+ years.
- Multiple years of experience working as a Solutions Architect designing software solutions or as a Staff Engineer.
- Advanced engineering experience with Java, Spring, Docker, and Maven, along with knowledge of modern frontend technologies and frameworks such as Angular.
- Proven experience in database design, API architecture, and system integration patterns for product-scale applications.
- Advanced expertise in system design and architecture, including designing scalable, distributed systems capable of handling significant scale and complexity.
- Demonstrated ability to design solutions that balance technical excellence with business pragmatism and product delivery timelines.
- Hands-on technical engagement mindset, including active involvement in implementation, coding, system design validation, and proof-of-concept development.
- Experience mentoring and supporting development teams on technical implementation and architectural best practices.
- Prior experience in product-driven organizations where technical decisions directly impact the product roadmap and customer outcomes.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences, including non-technical stakeholders.
- Level of English – from Upper-Intermediate+ and above.
