SAP BW/4HANA Architect in Germany

Andersen is hiring an SAP BW/4HANA Architect in Germany for a project building analytics infrastructure and enterprise data solutions. 

The customer is a large international technology provider delivering end-to-end digital solutions for enterprise-level organizations. The company focuses on IT consulting, cloud services, cybersecurity, and managed operations, supporting clients across various industries with complex digital transformation needs. With decades of experience, the customer emphasizes innovation, reliability, and high security standards. 

The project is focused on building a centralized analytics infrastructure for the real estate and construction management domain. It includes designing and implementing data-driven solutions in SAP BW/4HANA to support reporting, portfolio management, controlling processes, and business analytics. 

Responsibilities: 

• Being responsible for end-to-end solution design: translating business requirements into a technical architecture before any implementation begins. 

• Owning the technical concept of documentation and ensuring alignment between business stakeholders and the development team. 

• Acting as a technical authority on the project – defining standards, data modeling principles, and integration patterns for the team to follow. 

• Designing scalable, maintainable architecture from scratch. 

• Leading technical workshops and making architectural decisions under uncertainty. 

Must-haves: 

• Experience with SAP BW/4HANA for 7+ years. 

• Proven experience in end-to-end BW/4HANA solution architecture (not just implementation). 

• Deep knowledge of LSA++ (Layered Scalable Architecture). 

• Experience designing data flow concepts across multiple source systems at an enterprise scale. 

• Ability to create and own technical architecture documentation. 

• Advanced expertise in CompositeProviders, DataStore Objects (advanced), InfoObjects, and Open ODS Views. 

• Experience with HANA-native modeling (Calculation Views, Virtual Data Models). 

• Knowledge of delta mechanisms and data replication strategies. 

• Level of English – from Upper-Intermediate and above. 

• Level of German – from Intermediate+ and above. 

Nice-to-haves: 

• Knowledge of Analysis for Office. 

• Experience with SAP Analytics Cloud. 

• Background in real estate, controlling, portfolio management, or sustainability. 

• Strong communication skills and a structured working style. 

• Ability to bridge the gap between business and technical topics. 

• Knowledge of the real estate domain.
