SAP ABAP HCM Developer (Time Management) in the EU

Andersen is hiring a SAP ABAP HCM Developer (Time Management) in the EU for a project developing Time Management solutions, supporting time tracking, attendance, and HR processes in S/4HANA. 

The customer is a large international technology provider delivering end-to-end digital solutions for enterprise-level organizations. The company focuses on IT consulting, cloud services, cybersecurity, and managed operations, supporting clients across various industries with complex digital transformation needs. With decades of experience, the customer emphasizes innovation, reliability, and high security standards. 

The project is focused on technical backend development and customization of SAP HCM Time Management within an SAP S/4HANA environment. It includes building customer-specific functions, infotypes, and data structures to support time tracking, attendance and absence management, and reporting for public sector organizations. 

Responsibilities: 

- Designing and implementing complex backend logic specifically for SAP HCM Time Management. 

- Creating and adapting customer-specific infotypes and tables related to time tracking and evaluation. 

- Integrating time management services with the overall HCM landscape and external interfaces. 

- Developing and maintaining technical reports for time management, data and evaluations. 

- Executing unit tests, performing code reviews, and verifying developer artifacts to ensure system stability. 

- Preparing comprehensive technical developers and implementation documentation. 

 Must-have: 

- Extensive development experience in ABAP and ABAP OO for 4+ years. 

- Sound technical knowledge of SAP HCM architecture and infotype structures. 

- Proven track record in backend development, specifically for HR processes. 

- Proficiency in handling customer-specific tables and backend logic adaptations. 

- Level of English – from Upper-Intermediate and above. 

- Native German. 

 Nice to haves: 

- Basic functional knowledge of SAP Time Management (PT) business processes. 

- Experience in public sector digitization projects for German authorities. 

- Practical knowledge of SAP S/4HANA HCM and its specific data structures. 

- Experience with "HCM Processes & Forms" and Workflow Management. 

- Knowledge of integration with digital personnel files and authorization management (TP17). 

- Basic understanding of SAP Fiori, OData, and UI5 for integration purposes. 
- Experience in public digitization projects. 
- Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA HCM.
