Job description

Andersen is hiring a QA Engineer in the EU to support testing and quality assurance for digital banking services, strengthening automation and ensuring stability as the platform and core systems continue to modernize. 

 

The customer is a digital financial services provider operating across several European markets. The organization offers consumer-focused payment and lending products, working with both individual clients and selected business partners. Its solutions emphasize simplicity, transparency, and scalable online service delivery, supporting steady growth and enabling flexible collaboration models within the financial ecosystem. 

 

The project is focused on ensuring the quality and stability of all banking services through comprehensive release testing and continuous framework improvement. It also supports the bank’s ongoing modernization efforts, including upgrades to its Temenos-based core systems, payment platform, and data architecture. 

 

Responsibilities: 

- Planning, designing, and executing functional test scenarios for web and mobile applications. 

- Performing API testing (REST) using Postman or similar tools. 

- Conducting system integration testing and supporting UAT execution and coordination. 

- Working with Azure DevOps for test management, test cases, and task tracking. 

- Executing database validation queries (MSSQL) to support functional testing. 

- Collaborating closely with Scrum teams and contributing to grooming, refinement, and sprint ceremonies. 

- Ensuring test coverage across different functional domains and maintaining high-quality standards. 

- Documenting defects, analyzing root causes, and supporting developers and analysts in resolving issues. 

- Contributing to continuous improvement of QA processes and testing documentation. 

 

Must-have: 

- Experience in Software Quality Assurance for 4+ years. 

- Practical work experience within Scrum teams for 2+ years. 

- Experience in Banking, Credit Cards, or Payments. 

- Hands-on experience with functional testing for mobile and web applications. 

- Strong practical experience testing REST APIs (ideally Postman). 

- Ability to write SQL queries (preferably MSSQL). 

- Experience with test management tools (ideally Azure DevOps). 

- Solid understanding of QA processes, methodologies, and defect life cycle. 

- Strong communication skills and ownership mindset. 

- Level of English – from Upper-Intermediate and above. 

 

Nice-to-Haves: 

- University degree (Bachelor’s or higher) in an IT-oriented field. 

- System Integration Testing experience. 

- Basic to moderate understanding of test automation.  

- Experience supporting or coordinating UAT. 

- Knowledge of non-functional testing concepts. 

- Experience with Temenos Transact or other Temenos modules. 

- ISTQB Certification (Foundation / Agile / Test Analyst). 

- Experience working with Azure Cosmos DB or Pega. 

- Previous background as Business Analyst or Developer.
