QA Automation Engineer (JavaScript)

Andersen is hiring a QA Automation Engineer (JavaScript) in the EU for a project modernizing a digital platform and ensuring quality, performance, and reliability. 

The customer is a large international organization that develops and operates digital products and platforms serving a broad user base. The company focuses on delivering reliable, scalable, and user-centric solutions while continuously investing in technology, process optimization, and product innovation. Its business relies on data-driven decision-making, automation, and the integration of modern digital capabilities to support growth and enhance customer experiences. 

The project is focused on modernizing a price comparison platform that collects, aggregates, and presents utility service rates from multiple providers. It includes enhancing platform performance, scalability, and user experience to help customers compare offers and make informed decisions. 

Responsibilities: 

• Designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts using Playwright and TypeScript/JavaScript. 

• Executing and maintaining manual and automated test cases to ensure product quality. 

• Performing API testing (REST) using Postman and validating backend integrations. 

• Collaborating closely with developers, Product Owners, and QA team members to ensure requirements are well understood and tested. 

• Integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous delivery. 

• Analyzing test results, identifying defects, and providing detailed bug reports. 

• Conducting log analysis and troubleshooting to support defect investigation. 

• Creating and maintaining test documentation, including test cases, test plans, and reports. 

• Ensuring high standards of test coverage, reliability, and maintainability. 

• Participating in Agile ceremonies and contributing to continuous improvement of QA processes. 

• Supporting quality assurance efforts across the full software development lifecycle. 

Must-haves:  

• Experienced QA Automation Engineer with hands-on experience in test automation and strong background in manual testing for 1+ years. 

• Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, with practical experience building and maintaining automated test frameworks. 

• Solid experience in API testing (REST) using tools such as Postman. 

• Good understanding of test design, test strategies, and QA best practices. 

• Familiar with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins) and integrating automated tests into delivery workflows. 

• Experience or exposure to log analysis and troubleshooting using tools like Elastic Stack. 

• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem-solving skills. 

• Effective communicator capable of creating clear test documentation and reports, and a reliable team player who works comfortably both independently and remotely while collaborating with cross-functional teams. 

• Level of English – from Upper-Intermediate and above. 

Nice to haves: 

• Jenkins (CI/CD pipeline experience). 

• Salesforce (testing knowledge). 

• Elastic Stack (logs trouble shooting knowledge).
