𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐚𝐬𝐤 is focused on analyzing and designing business processes to align with the bank's strategic goals, identifying gaps, optimizing operations, and ensuring alignment between business needs and IT solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Analyzing and designing business capabilities, models, and processes aligned with the bank’s strategy.
- Acting as a bridge between business and IT, ensuring requirements are reflected in architecture designs.
- Developing and maintaining Business Architecture artifacts and mapping them to the IT landscape.
- Creating business architecture models and high-level designs showing interactions between workflows, processes, and systems.
- Reviewing BRDs, use cases, and workflows to assess the impact on business architecture.
- Collaborating with stakeholders to identify gaps, define target states, and ensure alignment.
- Translating business needs into clear high-level technical and architectural specifications.
- Defining and maintaining business architecture principles, standards, and guidelines.
- Supporting domain architects in aligning solutions with business objectives and capabilities.
- Participating in architecture committees, reviews, and exception handling.
- Contributing across the project lifecycle, including RFP/RFI reviews.
- Maintaining artifacts in the Enterprise Architecture repository.
- Supporting strategy, budgeting input, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Preparing reports and representing the Business Architecture function in internal and external meetings.
Must-haves:
- Experience in the banking domain for 10+ years, with at least 5 years in a Business Architect or senior Business Analyst role.
- TOGAF (Business Architecture focus) or BIAN certifications.
- Strong expertise in Business Architecture discipline, methodologies, concepts and best practices.
- Deep understanding of banking operations and products, including areas such as Accounts & Deposits, Lending, Cards, Payments, Treasury, Finance, Risk and Operations.
- Proven experience in defining AS-IS and TO-BE business capabilities, products, services and processes.
- Strong architecture modelling skills with a strategic and consulting mindset.
- Solid experience translating business needs into technical and architectural specifications.
- Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks and standards;
- Strong understanding of banking technology systems and emerging technology trends.
- Well-developed systems thinking, design thinking and change management skills.
- Level of English – from Upper-Intermediate and above.
Nice-to-haves:
- Knowledge of Arabic.
- Additional certifications such as CBAP or PMI-PBA.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Finance or a related field.
