Junior QA Automation Engineer (Java)

Andersen is seeking a Junior QA Automation Engineer (Java) to support testing and quality assurance of scalable travel platforms, ensuring reliable booking, finance, and partner management solutions. 

The customer is a technology-driven company in the travel sector, providing a comprehensive booking and procurement platform for industry professionals. Its solutions support large transaction volumes, integrate with a wide network of partners, and offer tools that streamline operations and enhance productivity. Focused on innovation and scalability, the customer continues to expand its ecosystem, strengthen partnerships, and improve data accuracy to deliver a modern digital infrastructure for the travel value chain. 

The project is centered on the evolution of a suite of interconnected travel platforms that support booking, CRM, finance, and supplier content management. These systems enable advisors and internal teams to manage itineraries, transactions, and partner data efficiently while ensuring seamless integration and real-time collaboration across the ecosystem.

The position assumes 12 to 21 CET work schedule. 

Responsibilities: 

• Designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks using Java, Selenium WebDriver, JUnit, and Cucumber. 

• Writing clean, maintainable, and scalable test automation code. 

• Developing BDD scenarios and integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines. 

• Analyzing requirements and translate them into effective test coverage. 

• Performing root cause analysis for test failures and defects. 

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve testing processes and quality standards. 

• Continuously optimizing automation coverage and execution time. 

Must-haves: 

• Experience as a QA Automation Engineer for 1+ year. 

• Strong hands-on experience with Java. 

• Solid experience with Selenium WebDriver. 

• Experience with JUnit (or similar testing frameworks). 

• Practical experience with Cucumber / BDD approach. 

• Understanding of OOP principles and test design patterns. 

• Experience working with version control systems (e.g., Git). 

• Understanding of CI/CD processes. 

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 

• Ability to write clean and well-structured code. 

• Good communication skills. 

• Level of English – from Intermediate+ and above. 

Nice-to-haves: 

• Experience with API automation testing. 

• Knowledge of test architecture and framework design. 

• Experience in performance or security testing. 

• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
