Job description

Andersen is hiring a Fullstack QA Engineer in Germany to support a public-sector digital platform, ensuring high-quality, reliable, and user-friendly software across complex workflows and integrations. 

 

The customer is a large international technology provider delivering end-to-end digital solutions for enterprise-level organizations. The company focuses on IT consulting, cloud services, cybersecurity, and managed operations, supporting clients across various industries with complex digital-transformation needs. With decades of experience, the customer emphasizes innovation, reliability, and high security standards. 

 

The project is part of the Public Services domain and focuses on enhancing a digital platform that supports and optimizes government operations and citizen-facing services. It aims to improve reliability, transparency, and user experience by delivering high-quality software across complex workflows, integrations, and compliance-critical environments. 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Participating in the preparation, planning, and execution of test activities across system, integration, and end-to-end levels.  

  • Following defined testing methods, procedures, and quality criteria for complex systems.  

  • Designing and maintaining test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test data.  

  • Configuring and maintaining test environments required for functional and integration testing.  

  • Analyzing defects, performing root-cause investigations, and collaborating with development teams to ensure timely resolution.  

  • Automating test scenarios and maintaining automation frameworks to improve coverage and efficiency.  

  • Monitoring and reporting test progress, including execution status, defect volumes, and processing rates.  

  • Verifying system behaviour across hardware and software components where applicable.  

  • Ensuring compliance with agreed quality standards, acceptance criteria, and delivery expectations.  

  • Supporting continuous improvement of testing processes, tools, and practices across the project. 

 

Must-haves: 

  • Experience in software testing, including system, integration, and end-to-end testing, for 5+ years.  

  • Strong ability to design, document, and execute test plans, test cases, and test procedures for complex systems.  

  • Experience defining testing strategies, methods, and quality criteria for system, group, and integration tests.  

  • Proficiency in analysing defects, identifying root causes, and evaluating product quality using structured measurements.  

  • Strong understanding of test automation concepts and hands-on experience building and maintaining automated test suites.  

  • Solid knowledge  with Java preferred for automation.  

  • Experience preparing, configuring, and maintaining test environments, including data setup and environment validation.  

  • Ability to monitor and report test progress, defect volumes, and resolution rates throughout the test cycle.  

  • Understanding of hardware/software interaction and ability to verify system behaviour across components.  

  • Hands-on experience with modern test tools such as Selenium and Postman.  

  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into delivery workflows.  

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with developers, analysts, and stakeholders.  

  • Level of English – from Upper-Intermediate and above.  

  • Level of German – from Upper-Intermediate and above. 

 

Nice-to-haves:  

  • Hands-on experience with modern test tools such as Appium, JMeter, Cypress, or equivalents.
