Backend Developer (.NET) in the EU
Andersen is hiring a Backend Developer (.NET) in the EU to integrate an insurance claims system with a digital banking platform, building secure APIs and scalable services for seamless end-to-end claim processing.
The customer is a large international organization operating in the insurance and risk protection domain, providing a wide range of services for both individual and corporate clients. The customer has a strong global presence, delivers diversified insurance solutions across multiple lines of business, and is known for its mature operational model, financial stability, and well-established expertise in service delivery and claims management.
The project is focused on integrating an insurance claim management system with a digital banking platform. It involves designing and implementing secure APIs and backend services to enable seamless data exchange, support end-to-end claim processing, and ensure a scalable, reliable integration architecture.
Responsibilities:
- Contributing to and actively shaping architectural discussions and decisions.
- Designing and implementing APIs and backend services.
- Collaborating with business analysts and developers to implement user stories.
- Building high-performance, scalable backend solutions.
- Ensuring code quality, performance, and maintainability.
- Performing root cause analysis and resolving complex issues.
- Maintaining and supporting existing backend services.
- Reviewing pull requests and enforcing coding standards.
- Mentoring team members and promoting best practices.
- Driving initiatives to improve quality, security, and system performance.
- Taking end-to-end ownership across design, development, and delivery.
Must-haves:
- Experience in building large-scale applications in complex technical environments for 4+ years.
- Proven experience working with distributed / remote teams.
- End-to-end ownership of backend API development and understanding of the full API lifecycle.
- Strong knowledge of OpenAPI specifications and Swagger.
- Experience in building scalable cloud applications on Azure.
- Hands-on experience with Azure services: App Services, PaaS, APIM, Application Insights, Table Storage.
- Strong proficiency in C# and .NET Core/ASP.NET Core.
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, including MongoDB.
- Confident use of Visual Studio and Visual Studio Code.
- Experience working in Agile environments, including CI/CD pipelines.
- Proficiency with Git and Jira.
- Level of English – from Intermediate+ and above.
Nice-to-haves:
- Microsoft Azure certifications.
