Backend Developer (.NET) in the EU

Andersen is hiring a Backend Developer (.NET) in the EU for a project modernizing banking systems and payment integrations, including migration to cloud-based solutions. 

The customer is an international financial services company focused on digital banking, payment solutions, and credit products across multiple European markets. The company operates in a technology-driven environment, developing scalable digital platforms, automated services, and modern payment infrastructure while actively investing in fintech innovation, cloud solutions, and data-driven technologies. 

The project is focused on developing and modernizing core banking ecosystem and payment integrations. It also involves migrating key components from on-premise infrastructure to cloud-based solutions to improve scalability, reliability, and operational efficiency. 

Responsibilities: 

• Developing high-quality backend components using C# and .NET Framework/.NET Core. 

• Building and maintaining SQL Server database logic including stored procedures, performance-tuned queries, and data processing routines. 

• Participating in code reviews, unit test development, and quality assurance practices. 

• Collaborating with architects, analysts, QA specialists, and cross-functional teams within an Agile/Scrum environment. 

• Contributing to debugging, troubleshooting, and resolution of backend issues. 

• Working with Git-based workflows for version control and collaboration. 

• Ensuring the reliability and maintainability of backend services and integrations. 

Must-haves: 

• Experience in backend development for 4+ years. 

• Strong expertise in C# and .NET Framework/.NET Core. 

• Experience developing microservices systems. 

• Advanced SQL Server knowledge, including performance tuning and stored procedures. 

• Hands-on experience with unit testing and writing automated test coverage. 

• Experience with Azure DevOps. 

• Exposure to CI/CD concepts and pipelines. 

• Experience in fintech, banking, payments or trading domains.  

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams. 

• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills. 

• Level of English – from Upper-Intermediate and above. 

Nice to Have: 

• Experience with IBM IIB (or similar ESB/integration tools). 

• Knowledge of the Elastic Stack (Elasticsearch, Kibana, Logstash). 

• Knowledge of enterprise scheduling tools (e.g., Automic).
