Role Overview

We are supporting a strategic initiative with one of the largest banks in Germany, currently at the final stage before closing a Proof of Concept (PoC).
This PoC serves as a key entry point into a long-term transformation program, including potential team expansion and broader enterprise rollout.
The project focuses on designing and delivering an AI-driven PoC aimed at supporting banking transformation, with a strong emphasis on modernizing and accelerating the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

Responsibilities

We are looking for a senior, hands-on Tech Lead / Consultant with strong client-facing experience, who will work side by side with the bank’s architects and engineers to:
• Define business and technical requirements with client stakeholders
• Design and implement AI-enabled, cloud-native solutions
• Lead PoC delivery directly in the live codebase
• Coach client teams through hands-on pairing and delivery
• Support the transition from PoC to long-term, scaled implementation

Requirements

• Senior-level Tech Lead / Consultant with enterprise delivery experience

• Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills

• Hands-on leader who actively pairs with client engineers and architects

• Experience in banking or regulated environments (nice to have)

• Fluent English; German is a plus, not required

Technical Environment & Expectations

Cloud & Architecture

• Strong experience with Azure cloud-native solutions

• AKS, event-driven architectures

• Terraform / Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

Backend / Platform

• Java / Kotlin / Spring or comparable JVM-based stack

• CI/CD & Dev Tooling

• Hands-on experience with GitHub Enterprise and GitHub Actions as the primary CI/CD platform

• Migration experience from Jenkins or TeamCity to GitHub Actions is a strong plus

AI-Enabled Development

• Experience working alongside coding agents (e.g. Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor) in enterprise-grade pipelines

• Pipeline & Toolchain Integration Strong integration mindset across the SDLC toolchain (depth in orchestration over single-tool specialization):

• Security: Wiz, GitHub Security (AI-driven security gates)

• Code Quality: SonarQube

• Testing: Playwright, Selenium

• Artifacts: Nexus, Quay

• Observability: Dynatrace,
