Role Overview

We are looking for a Backend/DevOps Engineer who will take ownership of the environmental and operational integration for an iOS MVP demo, with backend services maintained on the client side. This role is centered on preparing a stable end‑to‑end setup, executing detailed diagnostics, and resolving integration issues efficiently across networking, security, and iOS‑specific constraints.The project aims to to deliver iOS control component for secure remote access. Protocol implementation, provisioning, certificate-based authentication, and a lightweight control UI.

Responsibilities

• Integration with the client's iOS sandbox: network setup, DNS, ports, routing, access rules, and reachability verification.

• Handling mTLS and certificates: CA chain validation, handshake testing, TLS error diagnosis, and compliance with client requirements.

• Preparing integration runbooks and checklists: required endpoints, start/stop sequences, error‑code mapping, and verification steps on both sides.

• End‑to‑end diagnostics: correlation IDs, timelines, log collection, and support in analyzing integration issues (including iOS/NetworkExtension limits).

• Optional: building proxy/stub tools for offline testing or error simulation when client environments are temporarily unavailable.

Requirements

• Proven experience in DevOps, backend integration, or platform engineering, particularly in secure or networked environments.

• Strong understanding of networking, DNS, routing, TLS/mTLS, and debugging secure connections.

• Ability to rapidly prepare and configure test environments, including troubleshooting communication flows.

• Experience with iOS integration constraints (NetworkExtension, sandboxing) is an advantage.

• High-quality technical documentation skills (runbooks, checklists, troubleshooting guides).

• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to diagnose complex integration issues quickly and accurately.
