Senior Quality Assurance Automation Engineer

Hi! We are looking for a Senior IT Tester – ETL & Automation Expert

Location: Poland

Work model: fully remote

Start date: ASAP

Your Responsibilities

• Perform system and functional testing for complex ETL processes and data transformation logic

• Analyse data lineage and transformations to create robust test strategies

• Design and execute comprehensive test scenarios ensuring strong coverage across the data pipeline

• Conduct manual ETL testing based on functional and system design documentation

• Collaborate closely with Business and IT stakeholders to gather and refine testing requirements

• Develop and propose test automation solutions to enhance Data Quality Controls and technical validation

• Select appropriate tools/libraries for automation (e.g. Python data structures, Pandas)

• Perform automation feasibility analysis and implement end-to-end test automation for data platforms

• Review technical test solutions and provide guidance to peer team members

• Support continuous integration and deployment through tools like Jenkins and Git

Required Skills and Competencies

• Minimum 7+ years of QA and testing experience, including 5+ years in automation for Database, ETL, or Data Warehouse testing

• Strong hands-on experience with SQL (including complex joins)

• Solid understanding of ETL processes, Data Warehousing, and Data Migration Testing

• Proficient in Python scripting and automation framework development (preferably Robot Framework)

• Experience with Hadoop ecosystem, especially Hive and HDFS

• Knowledge of Slowly Changing Dimensions (SCD) and data quality principles

• Familiarity with Git version control and Jenkins CI/CD pipelines

• Ability to work in an agile SAFe environment and take initiative in developing QA improvements

• Excellent communication skills and stakeholder collaboration
