🗝️We’re looking for an experienced Geospatial Technology Lead to join our Client's team in Wroclaw. In this role, you’ll drive the technical vision and lead the development of cutting-edge geospatial solutions that support property risk assessment and post-disaster analytics!

MAIN TASKS:
- Lead the design and evolution of scalable geospatial services, including satellite imagery analysis and natural hazard modeling.
- Provide architectural guidance and define best practices for geospatial tech stack.
- Oversee a cross-functional team of developers, data scientists, and GIS experts.
- Build robust APIs and data products tailored to internal users (e.g., underwriters, actuaries) and external clients.
- Stay current with emerging technologies in geospatial analytics and recommend relevant tools or frameworks.
WHAT DO WE REQUIRE?
- 7+ years in geospatial technology and software development, with 3+ years in a technical leadership role.
- Solid experience with both raster (TIFF, COG) and vector (GeoJSON, H3, GeoParquet) data.
- Hands-on experience with visualization tools such as PostGIS, QGIS, Mapbox, or ArcGIS.
- Strong cloud experience, especially in AWS architecture and geospatial API design.
- Proficiency in Python and JavaScript, including libraries like GDAL, Rasterio, GeoPandas, and Leaflet.
- Knowledge of distributed data processing (e.g., Apache Spark, Sedona/GeoSpark).
- Advanced English - at least B2+
- Experience with event-driven architectures and scalable data pipelines.
- Familiarity with computer vision applied to satellite or aerial imagery.
- Understanding of catastrophe modeling concepts is a plus.
