DBA Developer for Nordic Telco Enterprise

We are building the first Polish delivery Hub for one of the largest telecom companies in the Nordics.

The physical hub will opened in Krakow H1'26, however, we also accept candidates working remotely from Poland.

Experts are expected to work from the office on occasion.

Brief:

You'll be working alongside mostly as a solo DBA right next to our Data engineer and ETL developers.

Tasks

• Design, develop, and maintain project supported databases

• Implement and optimize stored procedures, views, and queries for performance and scalability

• Manage DB configs, replications, backups and the rest that comes with that territorys

• Collaborate with developers and data engineers on schema design, indexing, and query optimization

  • Nobody likes a poorly designed DB schema!

• Participate in database migration, upgrade, and automation initiatives

Potential stack

• SQL Server / PostgreSQL / Oracle

• T-SQL / PL/pgSQL scripting

• Performance tuning, indexing, query plans

• Backup & recovery strategies, replication

• Cloud databases (Azure SQL, AWS RDS, GCP Cloud SQL)

• CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Docker, Terraform

• Monitoring: DataDog, Prometheus, Grafana

Requirements

• Proven experience as a DBA or Database Developer in enterprise environments

• Strong knowledge of SQL programming, indexing, and query optimization

• Hands-on experience with database performance tuning and security management

• Fluent English
