About the Role

Are you a highly experienced Senior ABAP Developer passionate about shaping modern, cloud-ready enterprise applications? Do you master the ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP) and thrive on building powerful Fiori applications with seamless user experiences?

We are looking for a goal-oriented and analytically strong developer to join our team. In this key role, you will leverage the latest SAP development technologies (RAP, CDS, AMDP) to design and implement robust backend services for our strategic S/4HANA solutions. You will be instrumental in driving our transition to modern development standards and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, scalable applications.

What You'll Do

• Modern Development: Design and implement robust applications using the ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP), ensuring a clear understanding of both managed and unmanaged implementations and their respective artifacts.

• Core ABAP & Services: Leverage your expertise in Classic ABAP, ABAP OO, CDS, and AMDP to develop and optimize core backend functionalities.

• Fiori Integration: Drive the development of SAP applications using Fiori Elements and ensure smooth integration with modern frontend technology.

• Integration & APIs: Implement secure and efficient data exchange using standard interfaces, including the use of REST API and BAPI.

• Quality Assurance: Utilize strong troubleshooting skills and a structured approach to work, ensuring code quality and adherence to best practices.

What We're Looking For

• Experience: At least 5+ years of professional experience as a senior ABAP Developer.

• RAP Mastery: In-depth, hands-on experience in RAP development (both managed and unmanaged implementations).

• Technology Stack: Strong practical experience with Classic ABAP, ABAP OO, CDS, and AMDP.

• Fiori Expertise: Strong experience in developing applications utilizing Fiori Elements.

• Interface Know-How: Expertise in working with REST API and BAPI for robust system integration.

• Language: Fluent English language skills, both written and oral, are required for collaboration in our team environment.

• Soft Skills: You are a quick learner, possess very good analytical skills, and approach your work in a structured and goal-oriented manner.

Nice-to-Have Skills (Bonus Points):

• Familiarity with CI/CD ABAP pipelines and GitHub.

• Experience in Fiori Elements enhancements on the UI level.

• Experience working in an agile environment (SCRUM or SAFe).

• For a senior/lead role: 2+ years of project experience in BOPF and FPM (SAP Transportation Management (TM) knowledge is a plus).
