Java Team Leader

About project

Currently we are looking for an experienced Java Team Leader to lead a team of backend engineers who will be responsible for building and maintaining core services in a greenfield project in the e-commerce sector.

Your role will consist of around 50% development and 50% leadership responsibilities.

Possibility of 100% remote work.

Tasks

• Manage, guide, and develop a team of skilled software engineers
• Conduct regular performance evaluations, deliver actionable feedback, and design tailored growth plans for team members
• Oversee the creation, execution, and completion of the product roadmap
• Ensure that all projects meet deadlines, stay within scope, and adhere to budget constraints
• Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and establish task priorities
• Offer technical leadership, advice, and mentorship to the engineering team
• Uphold industry best practices in coding, system design, and security standards
• Represent the engineering team during strategic planning and decision-making sessions
• Continuously monitor and enhance the reliability, scalability, and efficiency of applications and infrastructure

Requirements

• Min. 7 years of experience in software engineering, including at least 2 years in a leadership or management position
• Expertise in the JVM (Java/Kotlin) ecosystem and related frameworks
• Practical experience with cloud platforms, with a preference for Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in English (min. B2)
