IT Infrastructure Architect (Logistics)

We are looking for an experienced IT Infrastructure Architect to join an international project for one of the world’s leading logistics companies. The role is focused on designing modern, hybrid IT infrastructure environments and requires deep conceptual knowledge across multiple infrastructure layers, both in on-prem and public cloud ecosystems.

The role does not require programming experience or a logistics background - instead, it focuses on infrastructure design and architecture. You will be part of an international architecture team responsible for collecting requirements and preparing architectural documentation using professional modeling languages and EA standards.

Location: Warsaw, Poland (Hybrid – 3 days/week onsite)

Duration of the project: min. 12 months

Job Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze business and IT requirements

• Design infrastructure solutions spanning on-prem data centers and public cloud platforms

• Prepare architecture documentation using UML and defined Enterprise Architecture standards

• Support decision-making around technology selection and integration patterns

• Collaborate with stakeholders from various technical and business domains

• Ensure alignment of infrastructure architecture with overall enterprise architecture and security standards

Expectations

• Several years of hands-on experience in IT infrastructure and architecture roles

• Broad knowledge across all layers of Data Center technology, including: Networking, Security (Firewalls, IAM systems, SSO), Load Balancing, Compute resources and virtualization, Containerization, Storage and Backup, Disaster Recovery, System Monitoring and Automation (Infrastructure as Code), Operating Systems: Windows and Linux (incl. corresponding ecosystems), Virtual Desktop environments (e.g., Citrix)

• Experience with hybrid cloud environments (private DCs – VMware/OpenStack – and public clouds: Azure, AWS, GCP)

• Understanding of public cloud services (IaaS, PaaS, Cloud Networking, Cloud Data Management, etc.)

• Familiarity with modern system integration methods: APIs, EDI, Event-driven architectures, Middleware / Enterprise Service Bus, Secure data transfer protocols

• Conceptual thinking and ability to design complex infrastructure solutions

• Experience with professional modeling languages such as UML

• Education in Computer Science, Telecommunication, Networking, or related ICT fields

• Strong English (C1) – used daily in communication and documentation

• Nice to have: Knowledge of logistics systems, supply chain management, or contract logistics (not required but considered a plus)
