Golang Developer

About the project

We are looking for experienced Golang Developers for our client - one of the largest banks in the United Kingdom, headquartered in London.

The  candidates will join an agile Polish–British team responsible for the development of one of the key products: a platform built using the BaaS (Banking as a Service) approach.

Tech stack: Golang, Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, Kafka

Location: Remote, with on-site presence in the Warsaw office required twice per month.

Job responsibilities

• Develop clean, elegant, and reusable code that is well-tested and easy to maintain and extend

• Work with stakeholders across the organization to help shape the direction of the engineering function and ensure that long‑term customer interests remain central to key decisions.

• Collaborate across our backend chapter to uphold standards and best practices, and to promote innovation

•  Work collaboratively with the team to resolve technical issues

• Support and oversee junior engineers and act as a subject matter expert

  
  

Expectations

• Solid practical and theoretical knowledge of Go software development (min.6 years)

• Strong experience of working with microservices

• An understanding of Kubernetes / Docker

•  Excellent understanding of AWS (deployment / configuration)

• Experience working on a highly secure application

• Success delivering within an agile environment

• Ability to act as a subject matter expert and communicate with clarity and empathy to both technical and non-technical audiences

• Understanding how to translate business objectives into data driven insights

• English skills B2+ 

Nice to have:

• Experience working with PHP

• Slim Framework or similar would be beneficial

• An understanding of Workflow Engines

• Experience with E-commerce platforms (Shopify, Magento etc)
