Data Engineer (Databricks)

We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer for our client in the pharmaceutical industry. The role focuses on developing and professionalizing data foundations within the organization.

Work mode: 100% remote 

Tasks

• Design, develop, test, and maintain robust data pipelines and ETL processes.

• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate data workflows.

• Utilize Databricks to build scalable data solutions and optimize performance.

• Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across all data engineering processes.

• Establish and promote best practices for version control using git.

• Collaborate with the sustainability team to understand data requirements and deliver actionable insights.

• Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies to drive innovation within the team.

Expectations

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, complemented by experience in data engineering. A master’s degree is preferred.

• Extensive experience with GIT and managing version control in a collaborative environment.

• Proven track record of implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines.

• Strong proficiency in with Databricks and its ecosystem.

• Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and technologies.

• Experience with agile methodologies and digital transformation initiatives.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

• Domain leadership experience, i.e. the capability to mentor and guide team members.

• Fluency in English.
