10X Beta is redefining medtech development, delivering 21st-century technology into the healthcare system to dramatically improve patient care and outcomes. We are a venture studio investing in and incubating several exciting connected medical device ventures; we are a supportive fast-paced team that has the energy of a start-up with the support infrastructure of a mature product design house. The initial project for this role is in support of a medication adherence venture called Validose. Validose is a hardware-enabled software product that objectively and seamlessly tracks patients' use of medication to ensure the effective use of drugs in development. Come join the team!

• Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using Node.js.
• Ensure the scalability, performance, and reliability of the backend infrastructure.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including front-end developers, data scientists, and regulatory experts, to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Implement and maintain best practices for coding, testing, and deployment to meet regulatory standards for medical software.
• Write clear, concise documentation to support development and regulatory submission processes.
• Monitor and troubleshoot backend systems to ensure uptime and resolve issues promptly.
• Translate user needs into technical requirements, and describe/justify technical decisions to people outside the Engineering team.

• Requirements:
• Must Have
• Strong experience with Node.js and backend development
• Proficiency in designing and building RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL
• Familiarity with databases (SQL and NoSQL) and ORM frameworks
• Familiarity with security and privacy standards, especially in healthcare (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR)
• Familiarity with cloud services (AWS) and containerization (Docker).
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Fluency in English
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Nice to Have
• Experience working in regulated industries (medical, fintech, or similar) or with SaMD is a significant advantage.
• Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with medical or health-related data formats and compliance
• Experience applying SOC2 cybersecurity compliance framework with commercial applications
