We are Docplanner Phone, a new product that is currently finding its way into the healthcare market. We benefit both from being an established company as well as acting as an independent startup.

Now, I’d like to lay out a few points about why our team would be a great fit for you:
- People: the core team right now is less than 10 people, and I don’t mean only the engineering team. Some of us were here in 2012, responsible for building Docplanner marketplace and its SaaS product from the ground up. We are not sure if we were that smart and skilled, or if it was pure luck. We’d like to test that by creating something new.
- Possibilities: you would be joining a greenfield project, where little is decided yet. And we’re looking for someone that would thrive in this kind of environment: actively engaged in the whole product lifecycle. We need your input to transition from a bootstrapping phase to something more stable.
- Product: this is something new for a change, not just another CRUD app: we’re building a middleman for an internet telephony system.
Some details:
- It’s a Symfony 4.4 app with API endpoints (FOS Rest) and some back-office (EasyAdmin)
- The backend is about 25k LOC over 450 files with about 100 unit tests on top of that — not that much, there’s much to be done!
- We benefit from continuous delivery — we deploy as soon as the code review is complete, and it’s all automated of course.
- We rely heavily on open-source libraries as well as paid SaaS tools
- We don’t have any skeletons in the closet yet (phpstan level 8 is passing)
- We haven’t implemented any of your ideas yet — we’re waiting for you to share them ;)
Requirements:
- You need to be proficient enough to work independently on your tasks, share your ideas, and discuss solutions. That’s not an entry-level position.
What happens after you apply?
- We interview you remotely, and it’s only Maciej (PHP Developer and a Team Leader) and Ola (People Experience Specialist) at this step. It will take about an hour. No coding, no hard questions. Unless you ask some.
- The second phase is a trial day (still remotely), where you’ll be presented with a coding challenge, and you’ll have the chance to meet the team and learn how our typical day goes by. The task will be completely abstract so we won’t use your hard work after that. We really want to get to know you better and show you our reality. - You always get detailed feedback from us, and you’ll hear about the final decision within a few days.
- After you join us, you will benefit from flexible hours and working from home as long as this pandemic thing is upon us — and after that, it will be a team decision if we’d like to come back to the office and in what capacity.
