We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Application Engineer specializing in Machine Vision to join our dynamic team. As a Senior Application Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and optimizing machine vision solutions for our cutting-edge applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, guide junior engineers, and act as a technical expert in machine vision technologies. Responsibility 📋

• Lead the design and development of machine vision applications for diverse projects, ensuring they meet performance, reliability, and scalability requirements.
• Collaborate with product managers and customers to gather and analyze requirements, translating them into technical specifications.
• Develop and optimize computer vision algorithms for image processing, object recognition, and feature extraction.
• Implement machine learning techniques to enhance the capabilities of machine vision systems.
• Act as a subject matter expert in machine vision technologies, staying updated on the latest advancements and industry trends.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
• Collaborate with hardware and software teams to integrate machine vision solutions into larger systems.
• Conduct thorough testing and validation of machine vision systems to ensure robust performance in real-world applications.
• Provide technical support to customers during the integration and deployment of machine vision solutions.
• Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer needs and tailor solutions accordingly.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including technical specifications, user manuals, and best practices for machine vision applications.

Qualifications 🎓

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering or related field required
• 3+years of experience working with fixed industrial scanning and/or machine vision solutions and commensurate knowledge of technology, products, and marketplace
• Hands-on experience with machine vision, computer vision, or image processing including setting up cameras, lensing, lighting, filters, focal lengths, etc.
• Proficient level of English and Polish language
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical and automation systems for manufacturing and/or logistics process
• Hands-on electrical engineering experience including working with schematics, writing, hand tools etc
• Experience with industry-standard machine vision hardware and software tools.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Advantage:

• Industrial Ethernet PLC communications experience with Rockwell and or Siemens controllers.
• Understanding of PLC ladder logic, EtherNet/IP, Profinet & Modbus protocols, using AOI, EDS GSDML files.
• Basic understanding of scripting language (Python, JavaScript)
• Certified Vision Professional Certification
