Tasks

• Design, develop, and maintain advanced software supporting the work of translators (primarily connectors between XTM and external systems)
• Identify and address performance bottlenecks in the codebase
• Write unit tests and integration tests to validate the functionality
• Collaborate within a SCRUM team managed by Engineer Manager & PO
• Document codebase, APIs, and integration processes for future reference
• Communicate effectively within SCRUM team to discuss requirements, share progress, and resolve issues
• Collaborate with DevOps, Customer Support and other cross-functional teams
• Provide support to existing and prospective customers of XTM

Requirements

Experience:

• Degree in Information Technology
• Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in Java development
• Experience with developing enterprise-level applications or integrations
• Previous experience working with CMS systems and/or translation management systems is a plus

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in Java programming language and Spring Framework
• Hibernate, JDBC
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns
• Proficiency in RESTful APIs and web services development
• - Experience with SOAP
• Strong knowledge of database systems (SQL, NoSQL) and data manipulation
• - Experience with PostgreSQL is a must
• - Experience with MongoDB is nice to have
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git
• Knowledge of XML

General Skills:

• English skills to be able to read technical documentation and communicate
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality code
• Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Agile or Scrum methodologies are preferred

Nice to have:

• Experience with WebSockets
• Experience with Javascript/Typescript & React
• Experience with AWS
