Job description

For our Client we are looking for:

.NET DevOps Engineer

We need a DevOps engineer with solid object oriented programming experience in C# / .Net and a strong understanding of the current web technologies and frameworks. Ideally, you have already built first applications on the .Net Core stack.
You will build and operate the backend of our upcoming digital health platform, which serves as a foundation to run various solutions and micro services. Some of the key components include load balancers, API gateways, scalable web application servers, databases, logging stacks and automation tools.

Your responsibilities:

Design, build, configure and document our cloud-based applications and services as they grow
Write well designed, clean, testable, efficient code
Develop and maintain deployment templates and automation scripts
Ensure failover and reliability in the platform
Manage robust monitoring and alerting infrastructure
Troubleshoot issues and provide 2nd/3rd level support
Establish and drive DevOps lifecycle, automation, orchestration, and current best practices
Maintain continuous integration and continuous deployment tools (TeamCity, Octopus Deploy etc.)

Required:

Computer science degree or equivalent experience.
Precise communication skills.
Several years of experience in programming C# in a web environment
Experience with software versioning systems (Git)
Experience with continuous integration systems like TeamCity
Fluent in written and spoken English
Willingness to travel to Sonova HQ in Switzerland

Nice to have:

Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud platform
Experience with building .Net core apps that are shippable in a Docker container
Experience with DevOps and automation toolsets
Experience in a web environment (Java)
Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment
Previous experience building large-scale Internet applications is a plus
