Job Title: Platform engineer (Tanzu Kubernetes Grid/TKG )

Location and Work Mode: Remote, Poland

Type of Employment: We offer full time Contract of Employment (UoP) or B2B Employment. 

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Resolving technical issues and analysing the cause for critical issues. 
• Executing changes as per defined process. 
• Providing support to customer IT environment throughout. - Technical Transition & Documentation skills. 
• Develop and maintain an advanced Kubernetes platform like PKS/TKG (Tanzu Kubernetes Grid) to manage Kubernetes clusters lifecycle. 
• Hand on experience on VMWare technologies includes TKGI, VMware Operation Manager, BUCC, Bosh, Concourse, VMware Platform Automation Tools, openpyxl, Kube-Monkey, UAA (part of TKGI and BUCC) 
• Review and agree on the design parameters. 
• Respond to technical issues in a professional and timely manner. 
• Understand container and Kubernetes requirements and define technical solutions. 
• Troubleshoot and assist in the provisioning of Kubernetes infrastructure. 

Mandatory Skill Requirements: 

• Engineering Degree with experience in IT. 
• Administer VMware PKS/TKG infrastructure. 
• Managing and Troubleshooting issues in Kubernetes technologies. 
• Strong Knowledge of troubleshooting skills on PKS/TKG & VMware. 
• Strong Knowledge of VMware management tools. 
• Knowledge on Remote system administration. 
• Troubleshooting the incidents & problems reported on the servers. 
• Provide the root cause analysis on the major incidents/problems. 
• Monitoring logs and alerts. 
• Patch management. 
• Should have previous experience in design, implementation, migration / Upgrade PKS, Tanzu infrastructure based on VMware.  
• German Speaker. 

Desirable Skills:

• Knowledge of VMware Technologies (ESX all versions, ESXi, VSphere, Desktop Virtualization) · Knowledge on cloud technologies. 
• Ability to create architecture & design for VMware Tanzu deployment in VMware infrastructure. 
• Good Communication skills. 
• Process orientation. 
• Good and effective written and oral communication
