About the position

We are looking for a Mid Java Developer with at least 3 years of experience to join an international team working for one of our customers - a leader in the insurance industry.

As a Mid Java Developer, you will work on the development and maintenance of a server-side rendered (SSR) Java application, which constitutes the core of the system (approximately 80–90% backend/server-side logic). The frontend layer represents around 10–20% of the application and is implemented mainly to complement UI limitations of the Java server-side technology stack.

You will contribute to an internal business application integrated with multiple enterprise systems and tailored to complex insurance processes. You will collaborate with teammates located in Poland and across Europe, working closely with product owners and application users.

Key responsibilities

• Development of new application features

• Maintenance and enhancement of existing system components

• Application testing and debugging

• Application deployment and packaging (WAR-based deployments)

• Writing clean, maintainable backend code

• Preparing technical documentation

• Proposing technical improvements and optimizations

Competencies

• Java 

• JDBC / plain SQL (mainly Oracle database)

• JAXB, XStream

• Maven

• Apache Tomcat (WAR packaging & deployment)

• Internal engines: Kernel, PriceEngine, CalculationEngine

Nice to have

• Servlets & JSP, JSTL

• jQuery, CSS

• T-Konfigurator (TKUI)

• Experience working with SSR applications

Other requirements

• Familiarity with databases

• Familiarity with common enterprise application stacks

• Great attention to detail

• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies is a must

• Fluency in English is a must

• Excellent verbal communication skills are a must

• Independence and drive to grow and learn
