Position Overview:

We are seeking a talented Software Engineer to join our dynamic team in Warsaw. As an Software Engineer at Web Shield, you will report to the Lead Developer and play a crucial role in developing and maintaining our core platforms and applications. You will collaborate closely with other developers and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain robust, scalable, and secure PHP applications and APIs.
• Collaborate with the Lead Developer and other team members to define requirements and implement solutions.
• Write clean, well-documented, and efficient code following best practices.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to standards.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues, providing effective solutions in a timely manner.
• Contribute to the optimization and improvement of existing codebase and processes.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in PHP development.
• Assist in the migration of legacy code bases to modern micro-services based architectures.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in software development with a strong focus on PHP development.
• English level – minimum B2
• Familiarity with PHP frameworks such as Laravel and Symfony (proficiency is a plus).
• Solid understanding of programming principles, design patterns, and data structures.
• Experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and SQL query optimization.
• Proficiency in version control systems (e.g., Git) and continuous integration/deployment tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and analytically.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Experience with frontend technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
• Experience in the Risk, Compliance, and Fintech industries is a plus.
