Senior Data Scientist

We are now looking for a Senior Data Scientist who can help us to continuously improve Volue’s ability to provide value to customers in line with the Volue mission. 

As a Senior Data Scientist in Volue Platform AI team you will play a central role in developing our core data platform, help product lines deliver AI services and improve their SaaS offerings.  

What you will be doing to make a difference:

• Designing and developing predictive models
• Researching and keeping up to date with state of the art and adopting industry best practices building such models
• Searching and selecting appropriate data sets before performing data collection and data modelling
• Taking part in developing our DataOps/MLOps toolchains and practices and working with Data Engineers and Software Engineers on enhancing common data platform
• Building and maintaining flexible and scalable end-to-end data pipelines, both for learning from data and from running predictions in production, in collaboration with Data Engineers
• Evaluating performance of their models and using such evaluations to improve models

What you need to succeed:

• Experience with AI/ML modelling in the whole lifecycle (experimentation – development – production)
• Relevant Data Science technical skills – Python, Git, Tensorflow, MLflow, etc.
• Experience with data science and data engineering in a cloud environment
• Educational background in Data Science/Computer Science or related field
• Ability to work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary fashion while supporting your team
• Ability to work autonomously and manage own workload
• People-focus with ability to build trust-based relationships with relevant stakeholders
• Willingness to work in a hybrid model from Volue Gdańsk office (at least twice per week from the office)
