Mid Java Engineer

We are now looking for a Mid Software Engineer who can help us to continuously improve Volue’s ability to provide value to customers in line with the Volue mission. In order to achieve this, you will be working together with the development team.

What you will be doing to make a difference:

• Acquiring domain knowledge
• Providing potential assistance in the design and implementation of performance and load tests
• Collaborating closely with the team to establish robust practices for performance/load testing if required
• Designing and developing functionality for the DeltaXE product according to the required specification
• Be a part of the Scrum team and work closely with consultants and product owners for understanding and verifying the requirements and defining and realizing appropriate implementations
• Maintaining and upgrading existing functionality in DeltaXE product
• Participating in Scrum process meetings

What you need to succeed:

• At least 4 years of experience in software development and SCRUM project methodology, preferably in an IT product company
• Backend Java, any object-relational-mapping (e.g. Hibernate), JDBC, SQL, XML, (optional: Spring Core/MVC, Hibernate, JSON, REST)
• Experience with JUnit
• Eclipse and Git (optional: Github)
• Advanced communication skills in English both spoken and written
• Willingness to work with Swing desktop application (whereas the main work will be done at the backend)
• Disposition to work from Volue Gdańsk office at least once per week
• As a plus: experience in performance test and load test definition, realisation and execution
