About the role
As a QA Automation Engineer you will work closely with our development team to ship VOLT’s products fast and cleanly. We are looking for a person with capabilities to write automated tests and who is willing to perform manual verification as well. We are building this team from scratch and need someone who takes ownership and who makes implementing automated testing and bug-hunting his personal mission to enable our growth machine.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop and execute automated tests using Cypress and TypeScript,
- You will be responsible for frontend and backend testing,
- Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities,
- Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs,
- Improve and maintain tests’ logic and tools within the CI/CD pipeline,
- Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs,
- Liaise with internal Agile teams to identify system requirements,
- Review of specs and code to proactively understand the potential solution.
Competencies and Experience:
- You have proven work experience in software development with Agile methodologies,
- You have at least 3 years of experience in software quality assurance,
- You have hands-on experience with automated testing of web applications,
- You have experience in testing both frontend and backend,
- Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes,
- Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases,
- Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing,
- You possess strong communication skills, ability to explain your decisions to the team in written and spoken English,
- Prior experience with Fintech products is more than welcomed.
