Are you a team member we are looking for?
Unit8 is looking for a Platform Operations Lead to kick start our support and platform operation team - a.k.a "OPS crew".
The team will focus on high-quality operations, managed services, and L2/L3 support for platforms and applications developed by Unit8.
What You will do:
- Infrastructure maintenance coordination (patches, upgrades)
- Platform maintenance (patches, upgrades, backup)
- User management (add/remove users)
- Incident management (2nd/3rd level support)
- Configuration of changes on the platform, as requested by users
- Automation of operations task (e.g. using scripts to automate activities)
- Configuring CI/CD of cloud environment, Infrastructure as Code
- Configuring automated checks
- Integrating other tools in the platform, such as BI and ETL tools
- Monitoring of data pipelines on the platform to identify performance issues
- You will also help us build, scale and then lead our Platform Operation Team.
Hard skills:
- You have hands-on experience with building or maintaining solutions in a broad domain of data, machine learning and AI.
- You are familiar with DevOps and Infrastructure as a Code concept (eg. Ansible/Terraform/Cloud Formation).
- You have a good understanding of Linux system administration and basic networking knowledge.
- You have an understanding of at least one of the following concepts: distributed data processing (Spark), orchestration of ETL/ELT flows, management of data pipelines.
- You are a good communicator with good organization skills and a pragmatic approach to problem-solving.
- Knowledge of one of the major cloud solutions (AWS/GSP/Azure) would be a plus.
- Familiarity with the concept containerization (docker, k8s) would be a plus.
- Experience in leading the Operations/Support teams in high-tech space would be a plus.
