Role Overview

This role is ideally suited for an Engineer who is very good at working closely with others, both backend developers and designers. You are a self-igniting developer, motivated to seek opportunities to improve a codebase and the delivery process on the frontend. We like to work with Engineers who contribute to discussions, explore options, and include other views in making decisions. And we focus on engineering valuable business outcomes, rather than on technical perfection.

Founded in 2019, Uncapped is the fastest, most affordable way for growing online businesses to fund marketing and inventory. The company was born out of frustration with the limited financing options available for UK and European entrepreneurs to finance growth.
Uncapped provides business advances of between £10k and £5m without credit checks, personal guarantees, warrants, equity, or compounding interest -- and makes money by charging a low flat fee that is paid back from future sales revenue.

What you will do
As a core frontend developer, you will own the technical side of frontend projects, especially around increasing our test code coverage. We want you to improve the quality of our codebase; learn how we can quickly iterate with our codebase and make changes; and teach others about writing E2E tests in Cypress.
- Act high independency and be a clear voice in frontend development
- Build testing capabilities from scratch and prepare technology for team growth
- Help other team members deliver frontend related work
- Deliver and monitor your work using CI and CD practices
- Contribute by asking, learning, helping, growing

Who you are
You will have a few years of experience designing and developing software to answer business needs, including
- Experience in modern JavaScript frameworks and methodologies
