Machine Learning Engineer - Recommendation Systems
The fun stuff you’ll be doing:
- Validating new start-up ideas through proof of concepts and prototypes
- Executing full lifecycle software development in a self-sufficient manner
- Designing and implementing machine learning solutions to challenging problems
- Exploring new trends in your domain and deepening your knowledge
- Presenting and talking about your work at conferences if you’re into that type of things
- Coaching and educating others in your fields of expertise
- Analysing complex problems to understand assumptions, find patterns and communicate them to the rest of the team
- Taking responsibility and looking for viable solutions rather than blaming others
What we need and what you should have or pretend to have until we figure out we were played:
- Strong background in machine learning, with experience and expertise in personalized machine learning algorithms, especially recommender systems.
- Hands-on experience implementing production machine learning systems at scale
- Experience in algorithm analysis and design
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Fail fast, fail often and learn from failures attitude to find a working solution.
- Ability to deal with the ambiguity of early-stage of new opportunities and the flexibility to change direction as additional information becomes available
- General familiarity with Agile Dev Environment, CI, MVPs, Lean, Kanban
- Fluent in English with good verbal and written communication
