In the on-going digitalization of the oil-industry, massive amounts of sensor-data are gathered in large data-platforms. There is a huge potential for improving the day-to-day operations using these data. Despite the large potential, this has only been explored to a very small degree in domain software so far. Turbulent Flux are working on ways to do this in our Physical Analytics software solution to simulate multiphase flow in pipelines.

We are growing fast and we need to strengthen the software development team with a full-stack developer. You will be part of a highly innovative and dynamic team, developing our cloud-based software for the Oil & Gas industry using cutting edge technologies.

About you
  • You deliver on your promises and expectations.
  • You understand that delivering a high-quality software solution is what really matters in the end.
  • You enjoy working with subject matter experts and want to understand the underlying problem they are facing.
  • You have a genuine interest in technology and natural sciences, and you like to build things that solve real world problems.
  • You are a good communicator, have a can-do attitude and are excited to work with both business developers and engineers.

Key qualifications
  • Know JavaScript and/or python by heart
  • Experience with at least one JavaScript framework (React, AngularJS 1.x/2.x…)
  • Experience with container technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes
  • Knowledge about or experience with
  • API design and frontend development
  • cloud environments, for instance Google cloud
  • Experience with all phases of software development

Nice to have
  • Master’s degree in any relevant discipline
  • Familiar with industry standard tools (Git, Npm…) and methods (TDD, Scrum…)
  • Experience with real-time databases (firebase…) and inter-process communication tools (RabbitMQ)
  • Knowledge about transient fluid flow

Turbulent Flux offers a highly skilled and innovative environment. As an employee, you will have a lot of freedom and the opportunity to influence the direction of the technology. You will be heavily involved in all aspects in the development of our technology. This includes making technology choices, architectural decisions and the possibility to implement your own brilliant ideas. The position is for full-time employment at our office in Oslo.

Generous relocation package is offered.

We especially encourage women to apply.
