    Decisions at trivago are driven by data. With data, you can make reasoned decisions and drive positive company outcomes. Our Data Intelligence unit is at the center of all other units in the company, facilitating data-driven decision-making. As a Data Analyst in this unit, you will work on company-level projects with people of diverse skill sets, such as product owners, data scientists, and data engineers to ensure high quality analytical consultancy.     📋 How you'll make an impact:

    • Shape the data vision of selected company level projects
    • Collect and translate business problems across different teams to data requirements
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to find, define, and validate business opportunities and problems worth solving
    • Provide high quality analytical support by enabling reporting & meta-analysis
    • Develop, maintain, and visualize clear and actionable KPIs to stay on top of performance and uncover potential optimizations
    • Monitor data regularly to spot trends and find anomalies that can create business value
    • Proactively keep the team and stakeholders from diverse background informed to ensure a high level of transparency and clear outcomes 
    • Be responsible for project KPIs, from definition and data processing, to reporting and visualization


    What you'll need to thrive:

    • Proven minimum of 4 years' work experience as a Data Analyst or similar role with focus on statistics, data exploration, and visualization
    • Ability to break down complex projects into clear, well-defined set of needed actions
    • Ability to prioritize work effectively in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment 
    • Good knowledge of SQL and at least one programming language, preferable R or Python
    • Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop or BigQuery
    • Good communication skills for dealing with non-technical stakeholders in a clear and straightforward way
    • Solid written and verbal English communication skills 


    📈 Stand out with:

    • Knowledge and usage of dashboarding tools like Tableau and Looker
    • Ability to build pipelines 
    • Experience coordinating software projects based on a variety of technologies
