Joining Tidio, you will be the first Scrum Master at our company so that you will have a massive impact on our product and the process of development at Tidio! It is an excellent opportunity to help, guide, and support our cross-functional product teams to accomplish their goals.
As a Scrum Master, you will:
- be a full-time member of one and an Agile mentor for the rest of our development teams (around 6 people in each team);
- understand specific needs of the team and adapt your style of working to help them meet Sprint Goals;
- guide the team to understand best practices and grow Agile mindset;
- help remove impediments standing in the way of Developers and Product Owners;
- assist the teams with backlog refining and sprint planning;
- make sure the team understands the “why” of every feature they develop;
- find ways to improve teams efficiency using iterative approach - experiment and decide based on data;
- give feedback on a daily basis whenever you see there is an area for improvement;
- facilitate Scrum Events and organize Agile workshops if you feel they are needed;
- foster Agile culture in the teams and inside the whole Tidio Technology department;
- work with Engineering Leaders to define what does that role exactly mean at Tidio.
You are a perfect fit, if:
- you have at least three years of professional experience as a Scrum Master;
- you understand that the goal of being Agile is not to run a fun retrospective or let the team decide every time, but to quickly and effectively bring value to customers;
- you are supportive and attentive. You know how to coach your team effectively. You are aware of the team development, dynamics, and problems. Based on their needs, you choose your method to deal with challenges;
- you are a team player - you understand the needs of your teammates. You can challenge them and ask valid questions to accomplish common goals. You are not satisfied unless everyone understands the “why”;
- you have exceptional communication skills, and you naturally give feedback to others;
- you are a natural-born problem-solver, the challenge is your middle name, and removing impediments is a state of your mind;
- you have a good understanding of Agile practices, and you can share that knowledge with others;
- you have previous experience applying and optimizing Agile methods (Scrum, Kanban, etc.), and you can prove they have an impact based on different metrics;
- you find joy in running retrospectives or helping the team run other Scrum events on their own. You understand the verb “to facilitate”, carefully choosing your approach to optimize the results;
- you have an open mind and can’t wait to learn where you can improve;
- you can effortlessly solve most of the remote teams’ issues;
- you can easily communicate your thoughts in English.
You will earn extra points if you:
- have experience in working in a SaaS/product company;
- hold a Scrum Master certificate (PSM, CSM, or any other similar Agile certificate);
- know what SDLC means and understanding some of the best practices;
- would love to have lunch with Ken Schwaber or Jeff Sutherland.
